IN MEMORY

The Thomas Gerner Foundation was created to honor and commemorate the virtue and character of all that was Tom Gerner.

A MESSAGE FROM Sarah Khalil-Gerner

“The Thomas Gerner foundation was established in the memory and honor of my late husband Tom, who passed away in 2022 form a particularly aggressive form of cancer.  Tom and I have had the blessing of raising a wonderful son who, despite a diagnosis of Autism, has learned that he has something meaning to provide to the world.

The mission of the Thomas Gerner Foundation is rooted in that every child is exponentially greater than one’s disability - with a paradigm shift to make space and see the multi-dimensional whole child that lives and sees through an autism prism. By amplifying the agency in persons with autism, comes reshaping, redefining, and reframing beyond what is possible, but rather what is limitless and imaginable.

With your support and dedication, children will have access to scholarships which will allow them to actualize their full excellence. The environment will be inclusive, empowering, include equitable enrichment programs and extracurricular activities so that ALL children can experience the joy of just being a kid.”
